A top Biden staffer has just fallen on his sword to save Joe Biden from his own words.
Science adviser Dr. Eric Lander has resigned.
Lander resigned amid a major Politico investigation into the abuses going on in his office.

We all know about Joe Biden’s pledge to treat everyone with respect or they would lose their jobs.
Well, if Biden upheld that pledge, he and Kamala Harris would have both resigned by now.
After hearing about the upcoming report, Lander issued an apology to staff admitting that he had bullied them.
Lander, however, tried to soften the blow of the allegations by saying his actions were only to push his staff to achieve their true potential.
The fact that Lander admitted this behavior, however, had people calling for his head.
Monday night, he gave it to them.
Lander submitted his resignation and Biden accepted it.
Instead of calling Lander out for his behavior, the White House slapped him on the back and said, “well done.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated, “The President accepted Dr. Eric Lander’s resignation letter this evening with gratitude for his work at OSTP on the pandemic, the Cancer Moonshot, climate change, and other key priorities.
“He knows that Dr. Lander will continue to make important contributions to the scientific community in the years ahead.”
This, in my opinion, was a golden opportunity for Biden to call out workplace bullying, yet they missed it.
Perception-wise, Biden could have turned this entire mess into a huge win, but, as usual, they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
