President Donald Trump blasted liberal Democrats into quivering Jello with the shock and awe of a single week in office. The first set of poll numbers has CNN fearing more mass layoffs. Their “data guru” didn’t have much hope to give the few viewers they have left.
America loves Trump
It’s crystal clear from the numbers that We the People love the way President Donald Trump is performing. CNN is still trying to figure out how horrible things are for progressives after his first week back on the job.
“There have been a wave of executive orders and actions that we cannot yet truly know the full impact of,” they report.
They depend on the Reuters/Ipsos polls for what they consider accuracy but they’re wondering if they can believe what they’re seeing.
It’s correct, their “data guru” Harry Enten confirms to dismayed Democrats. Americans really do approve of the job President Trump is doing so far.
“Look, the American people really like what they are seeing,” Enten insisted. “At least, compared to where Donald Trump started eight years ago.” He had a graphic on the screen to show how bad it is for the left.
When he started out in January of 2017, he was dragging along at -3. That made him “the first president in U.S. history to start his presidency with a net negative approval rating.”

Up 9 points
This time around, President Trump is at a 6 rating on the plus side. “That’s up 9 points,” he exclaimed. As the president would say, he noted, “That’s big league.” Democrats are horrified.
This poll, Enten declared, “is a sign that the American people, at least initially, like what they are seeing.” Mass deportation and canceling all foreign aid, for instance.
“It’s not just that he is doing better than he did eight years ago,” Enten explains. “It’s that he is doing better than he ever did during his entire first administration. He was never over plus 3.” That means centrist Democrats are starting to like him.

“This is a very different Donald Trump,” Enten confirms. “He’s leading a very different administration the way he is attacking things, and the American public is very much more in line with him than they were his entire first term.”
The poll also relates a historic first. “Trump is the only president to ever have a higher net approval rating in the first month of his second term than he had during the entirety of his first term.”
Democrats are simply going to have to accept it. It’s not like they have any actual leadership capable of opposing the Trump administration or anything. “I don’t make stuff up,” Enten shrugged. “The numbers are the numbers.“
