More U.S. troops are headed to the Middle-East and it’s a total embarrassment to the administration. The attempts by Joe Biden’s handlers to coerce Israel and Hamas into a ceasefire fell totally flat. They never actually had a chance to start with. Israel is going to eliminate their aggressively radical Arab neighbors once and for all.
Pentagon sends more troops
America is sending more troops to the Mid-East as Israel continues steady operations against Hamas.
They’re also ramping things up against Hezbollah. Pentagon press secretary Major General Pat Ryder wasn’t authorized to say a whole lot about it.
He was allowed to acknowledge that “a sharp spike in violence between Israel and Hezbollah forces in Lebanon” has raised “the risk of a greater regional war.”
According to General Ryder, we currently have “about 40,000 troops in the region” but he’s not saying how many more are headed that way or “what they would be tasked to do.” It’s not hard to figure out the answer to that second question.
The fresh deployment comes “after significant strikes by Israeli forces against targets inside Lebanon that have killed hundreds.” That’s on top of the exploding pagers and radios which wounded Hezbollah forces by the tens of thousands.
Israel, Ryder explains, “is preparing to conduct further operations.” Antony Blinken defied Congress, ditching a hearing he was subpoenaed to attend and jetting off to the region. Meanwhile, as troops are headed in, his State Department “is warning Americans to leave Lebanon” Get out, while the getting is good.
“Due to the unpredictable nature of ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel and recent explosions throughout Lebanon, including Beirut, the U.S. Embassy urges U.S. citizens to depart Lebanon while commercial options still remain available.” You don’t want to end up flying out of Beirut by trying to hang on tight to a jet’s landing gear, like they did in Afghanistan.
Unpredictable nature of conflict
Nobody’s real sure how intense Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might get in the next few days. It’s clear from the way things have been ramping up that Lebanon is about to start looking a lot like Gaza.
We’re going to need more troops on the ground because once this one starts moving, it will gather inertia all on it’s own. This could easily be the start of World War III and everybody knows it.
As this round of fighting enters day 354 since Hamas troops invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, the IDF is reporting a busy day. They announced on Tuesday, September 24, that “an Israeli air attack in Da’ahia in Beirut” killed Ibrahim Qubaisi.
Hezbollah confirmed it shortly after, noting their rocket and missile division commander “was killed in southern Lebanon.”
According to the Lebanese foreign minister Bou Habib, nearly 500,000 have been “displaced” in Lebanon. Bombed out of their homes by Israeli airstrikes, it’s not clear where they’ll go. They may think twice about moving into neighborhoods being used by Hezbollah next time. He’s not happy with Joe Biden. Habib spoke at an event hosted by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on Tuesday while attending the United Nations General Assembly.
Israel wouldn’t be sending troops and tanks to Lebanon if Joe did his job. Habib expressed his “disappointment” over U.S. President Joe Biden’s speech at the UN, saying it was “neither strong nor promising and will not solve this problem,” but said he “hopes that Washington can intervene to help.” Lebanon, he adds, is counting on America’s help. The only problem is that Israel is our ally and Hezbollah is a terror group.
