Vice President Kamala Harris really has no clue how to read a room, does she? Recently, she decided to post a video online announcing the country’s first National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia. Of course, the video quickly went viral, as thousands of social media users bashed her.
Many have taken issue with the timing of the post just weeks after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. In response, some leading political figures have expressed their disapproval over this decision by the Biden Administration.

Harris posted on X that “taking on hate is a national priority,” as she rolled out what has been deemed as the White House plan to “combat a surge of hate in America.” Her statement was met with immediate criticism from numerous individuals who argued that this strategy comes at an inappropriate time given recent events.
Stephen L. Miller, Editor for The Spectator stated his thoughts on X: “On the same day Hamas leadership goes on international TV and declares their goal is to erase Jews and Israel off the planet. Just stunning.”
Other prominent figures such as Gad Saad, Republican Rep Derrick Van Orden, Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce, and Republican Senator Tom Cotton also raised concerns about Harris’ announcement based upon data from FBI reports which show that 60% of hate crimes are targeted at Jewish people despite them making up only 2.4% of US population.
Bruce commented: “Timing is everything & is itself a statement… This tells you everything you need to know about the moral depravity and corruption of the Democratic Party and especially of the people in the White House.”
In response to all these protests regarding its new approach towards combatting Islamophobia, The White House issued an official statement mentioning various steps it had already taken in order to address anti-Semitism. However many doubt whether these efforts will be enough.
