Dylan Roof will be put to death.
Roof’s appeal to the Supreme Court has been denied.
Roof was sentenced to death for killing nine people at a black church in 2015.
Let Him Die
During his trial, Roof demanded that his mental health not be introduced to the case.
While being sentenced, Roof fired his legal team.
Now having been sentenced to death, Roof seems like he is having a change of heart.
He had appealed to the Supreme Court regarding his mental health dispute, but the court denied the appeal.
Roof was 21 years old at the time of the shooting.
He is the first person to be sentenced to death for a federal hate crime.
His attorneys are now trying to argue that he was “under the delusion he would be rescued from prison by White-nationalists — but only, bizarrely, if he kept his mental-impairments out of the public record.”
Roof is now 28 years old, and he is being held at the Terre Haute, IN prison awaiting his execution.
