An officer on patrol spotted the blue Ford F-150 parked on Constitution Avenue near the White House complex.

The affidavit lists a MAC-10 machine pistol, a Glock 43x pistol and an AR-15 rifle.

The suspect, Ronny Guanipa-Chrinos, has been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, receiving stolen property, carrying a pistol without a license, carrying a rifle without a license, and other firearms charges. None of the listed charges accuses him of an attempt on the president.

The Department of Homeland Security says he told officers he “heard voices in his head telling him to come to Washington, D.C. and kill President Trump.”

The affidavit does not include those remarks. According to the affidavit, he said through Google Translate that he had the gun because people had tried to kill him with it.

DHS says he is a Venezuelan national who entered the U.S. illegally through Texas in 2024.

He appeared in D.C. Superior Court on Friday and is being held without bond, according to online court records.
