Donald Trump made a prediction during the 2020 presidential campaign that was widely mocked when he made it.
Trump predicted that gas prices would soar and Democrats would go after our vehicles.
He was dead right.

Let’s go back to Trump on the campaign trail at the time.
He stated, “We have more oil than anybody.
“You’re paying $2 for a gallon of gasoline. That’s like a tax cut. That’s better than tax cut.
“If Biden got in, you’d be paying $7, $8, $9… then they’ll tell you to get rid of your car.”
They said he was fearmongering, but little did they know he seemingly had the Democrat playbook in hand already.
Today, Joe Biden is using the invasion of Ukraine as the cover story for this fiasco, but Americans are not buying it.
Trump continues to lean in to running again in 2024, but polling on the matter is still not convincing.
In fact, Trump has lost ground in the last two sets of polls, now dead even with Biden in a mythical 2024 matchup.
Most believe someone like Ron DeSantis would destroy Biden on election day, but Trump needs to step out of the way for that to happen.
That is something none of us believe will happen at this point.
Rest assured, if Trump runs and loses, he will probably never be forgiven.
