It is not who you know, but who you know and what side of the aisle they sit on.
That would be the case with Stephen Colbert staffers who were illegally inside the Capitol.
The Department of Justice has sent them all along their way without so much as a slap on the wrist.

When I first reported this, I had stated that I doubted charges would be filed.
The staffers worked for Stephen Colbert, a significant friend to the Democrat Party and someone that bashes Trump and drools over Joe and Kamala.
There is no way this administration was going to lose that ally.
Today, the news broke that the DOJ was declining to prosecute the nine staffers, just as we figured.
Realistically, they should have been issued fines, but that did not even happen.
The sad reality is that if this had been a conservative TV show staff, they probably would have been taught a lesson by the DOJ.
This will bring some flack, even though most consider it a trivial matter, but it should.
There is a clear double standard here, and this just proves it.
