Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) may be acting tough on the outside, but behind closed doors, she is crying like a baby.
An Associated Press report today revealed that Cheney is bracing for defeat.
Some of the latest polls have her down by as much as 57 points.
So, unless something drastic happens between now and Tuesday, she is gone.
The Obsession
I honestly do not think it is Cheney’s pushback against Trump that is hurting her.
There are plenty of Republicans upset with Trump.
It is the fact that she has become obsessed with him to the point of basically abandoning her base in Wyoming.
Her Trump-backed opponent Harriet Hageman has been working this angle, stating, “Liz Cheney has lost Wyoming.
“Liz Cheney doesn’t live in Wyoming.
“She doesn’t represent us.
“She doesn’t represent our values.”
So far, only two impeachment Republicans have made it through their primary races.
Seven of them have been defeated and a handful chose to retire.
Cheney is about to join the former.
