The environmental movement in this country just got a taste of betrayal by Joe Biden.
Biden was adamant that no new drilling would be permitted.
Well, he just went back on that promise.
Time to Drill
Gasoline prices are starting to tick back up in this country.
Tapping into the strategic reserves is really no longer an option for Biden, especially when you consider that we have several enemies frothing at the mouth right now to make a move against us.
Biden knows he cannot keep the boot on the throat of the domestic oil industry if he is going to make this better, so he just caved.
Biden has approved a scaled-back version of the ConocoPhillips (CP) drilling plan in Alaska.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced, “The BLM has identified a preferred alternative in the final SEIS. Alternative E removes one of the five proposed drill sites from consideration and defers consideration of another.
“Additional environmental analysis would be required to move forward with the deferred fourth pad, and the final record of decision may identify additional deferrals.”
This, of course, sent the left off a cliff…
The best way to describe the Willow Project is a climate disaster in waiting. @POTUS needs to start considering federal drilling decisions as significant matters of climate. #StopWillow

As well as a few Democrats.
Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) was one of them, stating, “Giving ConocoPhillips the green light on the Willow project is not just a disaster in its own right — it paves the way for even more oil and gas drilling in the area in the future.
“Today’s decision sends the dangerous message that the fight against climate change, Alaska Natives’ and local residents’ lives, and wildlife are not good enough reasons to keep Big Oil from getting their way.
“This is the exact opposite of what the Biden administration stands for and the opposite of what Alaskans and this country need.”
Contrary to what Grijalva says, this is a good thing for everyone involved.
Alaska gets a huge economic boost, the government brings in more domestic oil and as much as $17 billion in income, and 2,500 short-term and 300 long-term jobs are created.
Notice the only people bitching about this right now are people not from Alaska.
