President Donald Trump loves giving interviews. The media keeps calling him president-elect but he’s been on the job since November 7. Joe’s hiding in the basement, not even bothering to comb his hair for the White House Christmas tree lighting. Meanwhile, Kamala’s missing in action, sulking in Hawaii. On Sunday, Meet the Press aired his first “sit-down interview since winning a second White House term.” While that was going out across the liberal NBC network and terrifying progressives with sanity and reason, the acting president was meeting with the leaders of France and Ukraine. They’re planning how to end Zelenskyy’s pesky little war with Russia.
Trump interviewed by NBC
On Sunday, December 8, while President Donald Trump was attending the grand reopening gala at Notre Dame Cathedral, in France, NBC aired their “Meet the Press” interview with him.
Moderator Kristen Welker was as stunned as most other Democrats by his reasonable and practical answers to pressing liberal concerns. They’re beginning to realize the predictions of a “collapse of Democracy” under his administration have been greatly exaggerated.
The general subject of NBC’s on-air interrogation was to discuss some of the plans Trump has for his first day in office. They also touched on “some of his ‘controversial‘ cabinet choices.” The big question for Welker was about the rumors that Trump’s going to turn the tables on “his critics and rivals,” by using the same tactics they used on him.
Weaponization of the Justice Department. She didn’t know whether to be relieved or disappointed by his response. Relieved because the rumors aren’t true and disappointed for the same reason.
One of the biggest questions facing Trump, The Hill writes, “is whether he will use the Justice Department to go after critics and political rivals, something he has previously spoken about as he faced criminal charges of his own.” The short answer is no.
He “would not explicitly order his appointees to go after his rivals.” That doesn’t mean they’re off the hook. Jack Smith and Liz Cheney may still end up in prison but only if they honestly deserve it and not under his direct order.
Target the Deep State
But what about Kash Patel, Welker quizzed. Hasn’t he been vocal about digging up the Deep State? Well, Trump countered, his job will be enforcing the law.
If his new FBI director thinks “that somebody was dishonest or crooked or a corrupt politician, I think he probably has an obligation” to charge them. It will be entirely up to Attorney General Pam Bondi “to determine whether to prosecute.”
Trump also has no plans on going after Biden. There’s really no point, now. He’s “not looking to go back into the past. I’m looking to make our country successful.” When they asked about what he’ll do on his first day on the job he should have told them what he did on November 7.
Instead, he answered the question in regard to the day he’s officially sworn in. That day, he’ll be signing a tall stack of executive orders. You can kiss birthright citizenship goodbye.
On top of the pile will be the one ordering mass deportation of illegals. “You have no choice. First of all, they’re costing us a fortune. But we’re starting with the criminals and we’ve got to do it. And then we’re starting with others, and we’re going to see how it goes.” Round em up and move em out.
Tom Homan is already coordinating with Texas Governor Greg Abbott to set up a deportation ranch to corral the migrant herd in. Trump shocked his host by quoting Border Czar Homan. “Families with mixed immigration status could be deported together to avoid being separated.“
