It would appear that the January 6 Select Committee has a bit of an issue with the Secret Service.

I will be the first to admit that I believe the Secret Service goes over the top at times to protect presidents, and I am not talking about the actual security they provide.

However, this committee has been after them since they rebuked Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony.

Now they are being accused of purposely deleting texts from January 5 and 6.

Can’t Trust Them

According to the Secret Service, on the dates in question, the agency was in the midst of a device exchange.

During that period, some texts on devices were lost.

However, the agency stated that it did comply and turn over all texts requested by the committee, and none of the deleted texts were in those requests.

The DHS IG, however, submitted a report that implied they were purposely deleted.

Co-chair Benny Thompson stated, “It’s concerning, obviously.

“If there’s a way we can reconstruct the texts or what have you, we will.”

Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi immediately fired back, stating, “The insinuation that the Secret Service maliciously deleted text messages following a request is false.”

Keep in mind that this allegation comes after Rep. Kinzinger, one of two anti-Trump Republicans on the committee, has accused another Secret Service agent of lying regularly.

Suddenly, Democrats are doing everything they can to discredit the agency tasked with protecting our vice president and president.

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t Donald Trump cause outrage among Democrats when he questioned leadership at our intelligence agencies?

Funny how the narrative changes when it is Democrats and anti-Trumpers lobbing the bombs.
