Here we go again…
You cannot even go to a grocery store without the threat of losing your life these days.
Case in point, a mass shooting that took place in Buffalo, NY, early this afternoon.
Horrifying Scene
According to reports, gunfire erupted at the Tops Friendly Markets on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo, NY.
At least eight people have already been reported dead, with reports of injuries continuing.
That death toll could clearly rise depending on the severity of the wounds.
At 2:26 p.m., local authorities sent out this tweet…
BREAKING: BPD on scene of a mass shooting at the Tops in the 1200 block of Jefferson Avenue. Police say multiple people have been struck by gunfire. The shooter is in custody. Motorists and residents are urged to avoid the area.

As noted, the shooter is in custody, but those nearby were asked to continue to avoid the area.

I am closely monitoring the shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo. We have offered assistance to local officials. If you are in Buffalo, please avoid the area and follow guidance from law enforcement and local officials.
