Illegal aliens can vote a full ballot in Arizona. So says the state Supreme Court. While Democrats are doing back flips about the news, they’re playing down the glaring revelation buried in the court’s ruling. Illegal aliens can’t be prevented from casting a ballot in ANY federal election. “Arizona requires prospective voters to provide citizenship proof before they can cast votes in local and state elections. That requirement does not apply to ballots for federal office.” Local and state laws don’t mean a thing either. “Regardless, we are unwilling on these facts to disenfranchise voters en masse from participating in state contests.”
Illegals can vote
Democrats have been swearing up and down that all the illegals they’ve been allowing to invade America aren’t allowed to vote. They lied. On Friday, September 20, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled “that nearly 100,000 residents can receive full ballots without citizenship proof.”
This specific controversy before the court started with “a clerical blunder.” It forced a legal deep dive into the question of “whether they could cast votes in elections this November.” You bet they can.
Just the previous Monday, “roughly 98,000 state residents were registered to vote in local and state elections, but had not provided the proof of citizenship necessary to participate.”
A staffer in the Maricopa County Recorder’s office “noticed a computing error that marked these residents eligible to cast votes in Arizona’s state, local and federal elections, without ever presenting citizenship documents.” That required a fast rush to the AZ Supreme Court for a judgment call.
Democratic Secretary of State Adrian Fontes helped local liberal-leaning groups pop open the Champaign when they read the startling news. Conservative Arizona citizens are horrified, while Democrats are screaming about their nonsensical victory from the rooftops. “Today marks a significant victory for those whose fundamental right to vote was under scrutiny,” Fontes gloated.
“The court faced a stark choice: to allow voters to participate in just a few federal races on a limited ballot, or to make their voices heard across hundreds of decisions on a full ballot that includes a variety of local and state offices.”
The full ballot
The whole issue boiled down to “whether these Arizonans would receive a ‘federal-only‘ ballot or the full ballot, which encompasses state and local races.”
The court decided to simply ignore the state law requiring proof of citizenship before casting a vote. On the presidential, senate, and congressional contests they had no choice. It simply “does not apply to ballots for federal office.”
The court took it upon themselves to decide illegal aliens should also be allowed to vote in all the state and local races too. They were “unwilling” to “disenfranchise voters en masse from participating in state contests.”
Doing so “is not authorized by state law and would violate principles of due process,” the court’s Chief Justice Ann A. Scott Timmer wrote. What do we have laws for? Republicans complain, shaking their heads.
Democrat Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, who signed off on the petition Tuesday, breathed a heavy sigh of relief. Democrats actually stand a chance. “Thank God,” he posted on social media. “Thank you Arizona Supreme Court for your extremely quick and professional review of this matter.”
Conservatives grumble you haven’t heard the end of this one. If illegal aliens can be illegally allowed to vote, in direct violation of a clear law saying otherwise, legal citizens can also take laws into their own hands. The constitution says so.
