He was only 25 years old and had his whole life ahead of him.
Sadly, his life ended in a fiery crash early Monday morning.
A former Vikings number one pick, Jeff Gladney, died after a horrific crash involving another vehicle.
Horrible Accident
According to local reports, Gladney was involved in an accident around 2:30 a.m. in Dallas.
Reports stated that he was driving at an excessive speed when he hit another vehicle, then hit a wall, which caused his vehicle to catch on fire.
It is believed that Gladney’s girlfriend was also in the car with him, also having passed away.
The people in the second vehicle were uninjured.
Gladney was a former number one pick for the Vikings, but was released from the team after allegations of domestic violence were levied against him.
He would later be found not guilty of the charges, which is when he signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
He played in all 16 games during his rookie season, starting in 15 of them.
