Read Time:40 Second
One of the greatest military members in modern history has passed away.
Brig. Gen. Charles McGee passed away on Sunday.
McGee was one of the legendary Tuskegee Airmen.
A Modern Legend
McGee first joined the military in 1942 and had three glorious decades in service.
All told, he flew 409 combat missions.
He also logged an astounding 6,308 miles hours in the air.
McGee died peacefully in his sleep.
His daughter stated, “He had his right hand over his heart and was smiling serenely.”
One could surmise that he may have known it would be his last night alive when he went to bed that night, so he wanted to make sure he was a true patriot to the end.
Rest in peace, General.
Your service to this country will never be forgotten.
