As it turns out, prison is not a very safe place to be…
Prosecutors have accused Evan Raczkiewicz, 29, of beating 49-year-old Daniel Ferrara to death.
Ferrara was found unresponsive in the kitchen of the jail on Saturday morning and later pronounced dead from his injuries.

The incident occurred at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold, NJ.
Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey accused Raczkiewicz of striking the departed multiple times.
According to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, “All safety protocols were followed at the time of the incident by the staff at MCCI, and thoughts are with the family of inmate Ferrara.”
That is a little hard to believe, considering the incident happened in the open and not a single officer witnessed the actual beating.
No further details regarding the attack have been released.
Authorities have also not released a motive for the attack.
If convicted, Raczkiewicz could have 30 years added to his sentence.
