Israel is expecting the war with Iran to begin Monday morning. The United States has ships and planes on the way, with our forces on the ground standing by. That whole ceasefire agreement with Hamas went by the wayside, as steady escalation makes full war in the region inevitable. Defense analysts are anxious because all the side deals threaten to make the conflict go global. Not only that, anything the Ayatollah does becomes a wonderful distraction. One which can be heavily leveraged against U.S. by China and Russia.
Israel ready for anything
Bring it on, Israel taunts Iran on Sunday, August 4. They’re on high alert and fully prepared for the Ayatollah to make the first move. It’s like a gunfight in the wild west. If you go for your gun it proves intent, which can legally be responded to. That’s why the faster gunmen liked to tease the slower ones into making a move.
Exactly the same thing is happening here except Benjamin Netanyahu is itching for the Ayatollah to fire the first missile. Then, it’s on and could be the start of World War III.
It’s hard to follow what’s going on in the region without understanding that the various Arab factions have been at war with each other and their cousins, the Jews, for millennia. Most of them are descended from Shem, which makes them Shemites. Or, as we say today, “Semites.” The Arabs make and break deals with each other all the time. Some Arabs, such as the Saudi’s, tolerate the Israelis.

They even begrudgingly acknowledge they’re entitled to some land to call Israel in Jerusalem. That’s called “Zionism.” Land in other parts of Palestinian territory is a different story. Colonizing Gaza, the West Bank and Golan Heights made certain of the more radical factions angry enough to howl for genocide of the Jews. They’re still howling today and Rashida Tlaib is one of them.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced at his weekly cabinet meeting that Israel is “prepared for any scenario – both offensively and defensively.” Iran used the high profile assassination of Hamas terror group leader Ismail Haniyeh as an excuse to start trouble.
While the IDF claims full responsibility for liquidating Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut, they haven’t claimed Haniyeh was killed by them. Considering the rumors of a bomb planted by someone in his room, Iran might have done it themselves. Douglas Adams has an appropriate observation on how “diplomacy” works. “I’m going to kill my brother and then kill you on the pretense that your brother did it.”

Iran’s axis of evil
While Israel has not officially commented on Haniyeh, they’re being blamed for killing him anyway. Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran all say so, loudly. Netanyahu can’t deny that he’s “pledged to kill the Hamas masterminds behind the terror group’s devastating October 7 attack, which sparked the war in Gaza.”
Iran may have saved them the trouble by doing it in-house. They’re ready to do whatever it takes to bring an end to the squabbling, once and for all.
“The State of Israel is in a multi-front war against Iran’s axis of evil,” Netanyahu said. “We are striking every one of its arms with great force.” He also had a message for the press to relay to the Ayatollah. “I reiterate and tell our enemies: We will respond and we will exact a heavy price for any act of aggression against us, from whatever quarter.”
Israel would be a relatively powerful country on its own but it doesn't hurt that they have this unconditionally on their side. Also, unconditional US support in the UN Security Council. Without either they'd have collapsed like South Africa. Nationalists should get this. pic.twitter.com/eXz7oss4Tu

The last time, they were hit by drones and rockets which they swatted away like mosquitoes. This time, there’s a U.S. aircraft carrier and all the other assorted goodies that come with it, not too far away.
Israel is ready to play defense. “We are prepared very strongly in defense, on land, and in the air, and we are ready to move quickly to attack or to respond. We will exact a price from the enemy, as we have been doing in recent days. If it dares to attack us, it will pay a heavy price.”
They’re ready to play offense, too. Like Doc Holliday. It’s going to be interesting to see if Hezbollah pulls out any of those funky EMP weapons they’re rumored to posses.
