Several days ago, there was a report of a Cracker Barrel manager having been shot to death.
The victim had reportedly given her life to save one of her fellow employees.
Reports have now surfaced that police have taken the alleged suspect down.
They Got Him
Beloved 59-year-old grandmother Robin Baucom had worked at the local Cracker Barrel for more than three decades.
While at work on Saturday, a Charger pulled up to the restaurant and a man got.
He allegedly attempted to steal a purse from another employee when Baucom tried to open the door to let her in, pushing the mugger aside as he tried to force his way in the door.
Baucom was shot during the altercation, shattering the local community.
Mike Lee, assistant chief with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, stated that officers had set up surveillance on the 28-year-old black male suspect.
He apparently spotted the officers and tried to run.
Lee stated, “He began running from them and as they were chasing them, he made some gestures as if he were pointing a weapon at them.
“At that time our deputies opened fire … on the suspect.”
The suspect was hit and later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Some will be outraged, while others will consider this to be instant justice.
