The death toll in Chicago continues to climb daily, but weekends are, by far, the worst.
This weekend was tame by current standards, with “only” 37 shootings.
Four of them were fatalities.

Most of the shootings in Chicago this weekend appear to be the usual gang, drug-related shootings.
One of them, however, hit a nerve.
A six-year-old little girl was shot in one incident.
The only solace being that she will survive, at last report in the hospital and recovering well.
There was another mass shooting in Chicago this weekend, with five people being shot, three of them in critical condition.
Other than Fox News, it failed to make any national headlines.
That is how the media treats gun violence these days when they cannot push a specific narrative.
Over the last two weekends, Chicago has had 81 shootings and 11 deaths, with many of the shooting victims in critical condition, so that total could rise significantly in coming days.
It is baffling, really, how we have more people dying in Chicago every week than we do American soldiers, yet nobody wants to hold city leaders accountable.
