Did John Fetterman break a federal law?

According to the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), that is exactly what happened.

If the allegations are accurate, Fetterman is hiding eight properties he owns and did not disclose them as required on his financial forms.

Breaking the Law

FACT has alleged that Fetterman owns eight properties in Braddock, Pennsylvania.

This is the town where Fetterman served as Mayor as well as where he calls home.

Ethics laws require the disclosure of all properties valued at $1,000 or more.

Violations are subject to a $50,000 fine and criminal prosecution IF they were knowingly left off the financial disclosure forms.

The executive director of FACT, Kendra Arnold, believes this “is a clear violation of federal law and Senate ethics rules” because “candidates are well aware of their duty to comply with the law and have an affirmative duty to do so.”

She added, “The Senate Select Committee on Ethics must act to ensure compliance with the most basic ethics requirements to maintain the public’s trust.

“Senate candidate Fetterman’s failure to disclose his assets and apparent failure to comply with federal law must be investigated and appropriate sanctions imposed.”

The irony of all this… Fetterman has regularly presented himself as a regular guy while hammering his opponent, Trump-backed Mehmet Oz, as a rich person with several homes.
