Donald Trump and the Republican Party have a very big problem on their hands.
As the evening was winding down, The Washington Post published a report that is devasting, if true.
The report cites unnamed sources that the FBI found nuclear documents inside Trump’s home during the raid.
Big Problems
I have stated all along that the only types of documents that would really warrant concerns were something of real national security, such as defense documents.
I was not worried about cocktail napkins from Kim Jong-un or personal notes from other world leaders.
Having nuclear documents, be it weapons, defense plans, or enemy information, is an entirely different story, however.
The WaPo report does not cite a named official, so who knows how accurate the report is, but if it is accurate, it is more than likely the end of Trump.
I would suspect this administration would move to file charges against him.
The other side to this is how it impacts the Republican Party as a whole.
This could absolutely crush the GOP in the 2022 and 2024 cycles.
Since the Attorney General already filed to have the documents unsealed and Trump stated that he is not objecting to the release, that information should be public at some point today, no later than Monday.
Also, remember that Trump has already set the table that evidence could have been planted, so everyone will want to see the FBI bodycam footage and the video footage from the security cameras at Mar-a-Lago.
All I know is that this is a complete mess and I am sure it will only get worse before it gets better.
