Longtime Jill Biden staffer, Press Secretary Michael LaRosa, has decided to call it a day.
LaRosa has been with Biden since her husband launched his 2020 campaign.
Jill has had her fair share of gaffes as well recently, so this is not exactly a surprise.
Time to Go
We have seen numerous White House staffers in communications depart after a series of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris public gaffes, and we can now add LaRosa to that mix.
On his departure, Jill Biden stated, “For nearly three years, from the campaign to the White House, Michael has brought an encyclopedic knowledge of politics and media to my team as my spokesperson and adviser.
“On a small team, loyalty and friendship are lifelong — we will miss Michael. However, we are excited for him to begin a new chapter in his career.”
It would not surprise me at all to see another departure very soon.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has been an abysmal failure thus far, regularly unprepared to answer key questions at briefings.
If she does not resign, the White House may have no choice but to let her go if these mistakes continue.
However, such a move would bring even more scrutiny to Biden considering how celebrated her promotion was given that she is female, black, and a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Biden may just have to suffer through her mistakes through the 2022 election for fear of backlash against Democrat candidates.
