“Hear me out: Press Secretary Laura Loomer,” Loomer wrote on X on Friday, hours after news of the departure broke.

Her posts are a self-nomination, not an appointment, and Mediaite’s report includes no response from the White House. And, hopefully, the White House does not respond because this woman is out of her mind.

In another post, Loomer defended Zacharia, saying critics were being “unnecessarily cruel” and that she wished her the best. “She was nervous. It’s not a crime,” Loomer wrote. No, it’s not a crime, but in that role, you need to be comfortable in front of the camera, and she was not.

Zacharia’s tenure drew criticism from the start. According to Mediaite, her first briefing on Tuesday lasted 14 minutes, during which she mostly read from a script and took three questions from friendly outlets.

Mediaite also cited reporting that found no evidence she had passed the bar exam, despite being described by the president as an attorney, and said her fate appeared sealed after a tough Thursday night interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Loomer, who Mediaite says often has President Donald Trump’s ear, also joked on X about the hair color of Trump’s recent press secretaries.
