While the breadcrumbs dropping from the FBI probe of Trump’s attempted murder aren’t lining up yet, the feds dropped some more scattered clues on the ground. The latest information points to signs of trouble at home.

Probe reveals more clues

Bits and pieces of information are leaking out of the Trump assassination attempt probe on a daily basis. Today’s clues reveal things about the crude bombs Thomas Matthew Crooks brought to the rally.

Along with the rifle he nearly killed Donald Trump with, officials have been chattering about a pair of improvised explosive devices in his car and one like it at home. All three were rigged for remote detonation and he had the trigger with him on the roof.

Another thing just reported from the probe indicates that both Mom and Dad were Trump supporters who displayed MAGA signs in the yard, even though Mom is registered Democrat. Add in the fact that both of them are behavioral health counselors and it looks like he had some serious anger issues with his parents.

That still doesn’t explain how he knew so much about the layout of the rally venue ahead of time. The feds insist he acted alone but it sure doesn’t seem like it.

The FBI probe has confirmed that Crooks “was able to access the roof near the rally by climbing over an air conditioning unit adjacent to the building.” Inside the building were a whole bunch of local cops, who were using it as a “staging area.

In the days leading up to the shooting, Crooks bough a 5-foot ladder at a Home Depot. He didn’t need it after all. Everyone still wants to know how “the 20-year-old was able to ascend undetected to the roof, gain a direct line of sight and fire several rounds at the former president.

A remote transmitter in the suspect’s pocket that may have been intended to set off two suspicious devices found in the suspect’s car and one in his home.

Paired with the remote control

Since Saturday, we’ve known about the improvised explosives. We just learned about the transmitter. On Tuesday, July 16, probe investigators told the press “they found a remote transmitter in the suspect’s pocket that may have been intended to set off two suspicious devices found in the suspect’s car and one in his home.

It’s easy to see why he might want to blow up his car at the rally but if he intended the device at home to go off as well, that means he wasn’t happy with his parents. Maybe those MAGA signs cheesed him off. Nobody knows anything for sure at this point.

Devices at both locations were similarly constructed in ammunition containers using components including receivers that appear to have been paired with the remote control found in the suspect’s pocket.” The probe doesn’t come out and identify them as standard fireworks detonators but social media did.

The official who leaked simply confirms “the receivers in each device were connected to a series of components that investigators say met the ‘eye test’ — having parts present that could have made viable devices, although the functionality of the devices is still being determined.

The probe team member who leaked today’s update was sure to add a disclaimer. “The purpose of the devices is also unknown. Whether they were intended to cause a significant blast effect and hurt people or if they were designed to create smoke, fire and a low-grade blast for a diversion is unclear.

Crooks also had a ballistic vest in his car but chose not to bother wearing it. That suggests to probe investigators that “he anticipated dying in the attack.
