Not only is flaming liberal Tim Walz an enabler of rioting looters, he’s also way too cozy with China. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee has already opened an investigation into Kamala’s Vice Presidential candidate. Democrats are scrambling to control the damage but their spin doctors haven’t whipped up the right remedy yet. For now, all they can do is attempt to play it down as routine. Sure, everyone’s made 30 trips to a communist country.

Walz cozy with China

If you were to take The Hill’s word for it, House Republicans are basing their latest probe on Tim Walz for “leading field trips to China.” The fact that he’s been accused of helping the communists set up secret police stations here in America isn’t even mentioned in their story.

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chair James Comer sent one of his friendly little letters over to Christopher Wray.

Since the Director of the Federal Bureau of Instigation likes to go fishing so much, Comer sent him on a fishing trip. On Friday, August 16, Comer demanded Wray round up “information on Chinese entities and individuals with whom the Minnesota governor may have engaged.

Oh, and while you’re at it, throw in “any documents and communications” between Walz or his office and the bureau “pertaining to warnings or guidance about government officials engaging with Chinese government representatives or proxies.

Nobody can deny all the publicly available records confirming “Walz spent one year teaching high school in China, moving to the country in 1989.

After that, while both he and his wife taught high school, the couple “led field trips to the country.” The New York Times counted at least 30 trips to the communist country.

In March, Walz had a meeting with Consul General Zhao Jian.

Macao Polytechnic

It appears that there’s at least one arrangement involving financial gain for Walz. He’s been listed as “a fellow at China’s Macao Polytechnic University in 2007.

It’s unclear if that comes with any salary, perks, privileges or anything else of intrinsic value. The committee wants to know if the FBI ever had to sit down and have a chat with him about staying between the legal lines.

One request in the letter “asks the FBI to acknowledge whether it has ever offered any defensive briefings to Walz, a practice by which the agency informs politicians and other figures whether they may be a target of Chinese intelligence or influence efforts.

Even if they did give him such a briefing doesn’t mean he did anything wrong. They warn everyone they identify as a potential target of the Pooh Bear.

Walz will be quick to point out in his defense that he hasn’t always been approving of China and their policies. It’s true that he’s “also been a critic of China, meeting with the Dalai Lama and a Hong Kong democracy activist, and cosponsoring the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act in the House.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t predisposed to favor his Chinese friends if the opportunity presents itself. Just this past March, Walz had a meeting with Consul General Zhao Jian.
