You really have to love the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party.
California Governor Gavin Newsom just spent about $100,000 trashing Governor DeSantis and Republicans with Independence Day ads in Florida.
California has also blacklisted 22 red states over state-funded travel over LGBTQ+ laws.
So, where does he go for vacation?
A Republican-run state on the banned list, of course.

Throughout COVID, Newsom was thumbing his nose at the very restrictions he put in place for his constituents.

One would think if you now hammering red states, the last thing you would do is contribute to the economy of those states, yet that is exactly what Newsom is doing.
While he is paying for the trip out of his own pocket, he is vacationing in Montana, which is about as red as it gets.
When Newsom’s staff was asked for clarification on the governor’s travel plans, one of his advisers stated, “The travel ban applies to using state funds.
“The Governor’s travel is not being paid by the state.
“Connecting the two is an attempt at gotcha journalism that is neither gotcha nor journalism.
“The governor is on a vacation with his family.
“He will return later this week.”
I think he is missing the point… what is he doing vacationing in a red state in the first place, regardless of where the funding is coming from?
This is equal to AOC slamming DeSantis for the way he ran Florida during COVID, yet taking a vacation there and going maskless the entire time!
Newsom apologized after he broke his COVID restrictions, stating, “I need to preach and practice, not just preach.”
I cannot wait to see how he justifies this trip when he returns.
