This administration has a major staffing issue, just made worse by two more departures.
Last week, a longtime Biden staffer decided to call it a day.
Now, two more key staffers are leaving Harris’ staff.
Staggering Turnover Rate
Earlier this week, Rohini Kosoglu announced that she would be departing Harris’ staff.
This is someone that has been with Harris since her days in the Senate, so this was a crushing blow and completely unexpected.
Now, Director of Speechwriting, Meghan Groob, has announced that she will be leaving as well.
The odd thing here is that Groob has only been in the position for a few months, taking over the duties after Kate Childs Graham left earlier this year.
Point being, this is clearly another unscheduled departure.
I have to think Groob is leaving over the many flubs that Harris has had while publicly speaking recently.
It is tough to imagine a professional speechwriter putting out that garbage, so I am thinking that rather than have her entire career ruined by more Harris gaffes when she continues to use phrases over and over again as though she is doing a late-night infomercial, Groob decided to call it a day and move on.
A report surfaced last week that more than two dozen key staffers have left this administration in the first 18 months, with more than 80 departures overall.
Some are obviously transition staff, but not the majority of them.
With as much as the media made about the turnover rate during the Trump administration, I cannot help but wonder when the accusations of dysfunction are going to start to fly about Biden’s administration.
