John Kerry, Joe Biden’s climate czar, just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Last week, a report surfaced via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that had been filed via government watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT).
Kerry’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate (SPEC) office turned over the emails, but the email addresses and names were redacted from the files.
This was odd because this is a government agency, meaning all emails and employee names are public record.
At the time, we threw out a theory that this was happening because outside sources were being consulted to craft policy.
As it turns out, that theory was dead on.
Gotcha
The real kicker for Kerry is that the email thread even went so far as to discuss meetings that were going to take place regarding items they wanted to keep off “paper.”
Again, being a government agency, that is a no-no.
Once the full emails were retrieved, PPT discovered that Kerry’s office was consulting 13 green agencies.
PPT Director Michael Chamberlain stated, “Just as FOIA revealed that teachers’ unions exerted undue influence in the development of policy regarding school reopening, these conversations seem to provide evidence that large, powerful activist organizations may be pushing the same expensive climate policy that just passed as what some are terming the ‘Green New Deal Lite.’
“For an administration claiming to be guided by the science, there are more than a few indications that the input of their political allies may be a bigger driver of policy.
“Little wonder that the American public’s trust in its government is in free fall.”
If that had been the Trump administration, this would have been the front page of every major outlet.
As it is, Fox News and alt media have covered it, but I have barely seen a blip on the screen for sites like CNN and MSNBC.
Think about this… not only was Kerry’s office hiding information from the public but it is allowing lobbyists and outside interest groups to help craft policy.
The next step in the process would be for the media to investigate how much money these 13 agencies have collectively donated to Democrat campaigns, and Joe Biden in particular.
Will that happen? Probably not in this political environment.
I guess we will have to wait until Just the News or some alternative outlet gets around to checking this out.
