One of the bigger atrocities of this administration is back on the radar for Biden.
This week, two reports came out as the anniversary of the botched Afghanistan withdrawal passed that have been rehashing this failure.
One was from House Republicans, the other came directly from the Inspector General.
Leave It
When Biden first left Afghanistan, Trump zeroed in on all the equipment that was left behind.
The IG report has confirmed that it was, in fact, $7 billion of military equipment that had been abandoned in Afghanistan.
This included $4 billion in armored vehicles, more than 300,000 small arms, and about $1 billion in aircraft and aircraft armament.
The Biden administration has maintained that it was cheaper to leave the equipment behind than it was to bring it home.
The argument, of course, is that, at the very least, it could have been given to allies with some of the more expensive equipment being returned home.
Republican lawmakers were livid when they found out about the waste.
A letter was sent to Defense Secretary Austin that read, “It is unconscionable that high-tech military equipment paid for by U.S. taxpayers has fallen into the hands of the Taliban and their terrorist allies.
“Securing U.S. assets should have been among the top priorities for the U.S. Department of Defense prior to announcing the withdrawal from Afghanistan.”
The current mainstream media refuses to hold Biden accountable for this atrocity, but history will not look kindly upon the fact he not only left all this equipment behind for terrorists, but that he also abandoned Americans behind enemy lines.
