All documents have finally been made public regarding the FBI search warrant for the Trump Mar-a-Lago property.
While it did not give specifics regarding the contents of the documents, it did show that several of the documents were listed as top secret, secret, or classified.
There were also numerous boxes taken and what appear to be some personal exchanges between Trump and other officials from around the world.
Was It a Setup?
That is the question that needs to be answered.
The problem is, we have no idea who to believe because they all lie so much.
Having said that, I cannot possibly fathom that Trump would have been so bold as to remove documents he knew would get him in trouble.
I say that because we know NARA was at Mar-a-Lago before and Trump was also cooperating, already having turned over 15 boxes of documents that NARA wanted back.
After the inventory list and warrant were released (we have a link at the bottom of the page if you want to see it), Trump went off on Truth Social.
The former president stated, “Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn’t need to ‘seize’ anything.
“They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago. It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request…”
“They could have had it anytime they wanted—and that includes LONG ago.
“ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK.
“The bigger problem is, what are they going to do with the 33 million pages of documents, many of which are classified, that President Obama took to Chicago?”
On that last line, NARA responded, “The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) assumed exclusive legal and physical custody of Obama Presidential records when President Barack Obama left office in 2017, in accordance with the Presidential Records Act (PRA).
“NARA moved approximately 30 million pages of unclassified records to a NARA facility in the Chicago area where they are maintained exclusively by NARA.
“Additionally, NARA maintains the classified Obama Presidential records in a NARA facility in the Washington, DC, area.
“As required by the PRA, former President Obama has no control over where and how NARA stores the Presidential records of his Administration,”
With how things are going, I cannot help but wonder if this was all a setup.
Rather than ask for the documents, they knew they could get Trump on federal law violations by going about it this way.
As Trump alluded to regarding Obama, it is not uncommon for past presidents to have unclassified documents in their libraries.
The 30 million documents referenced above were in Chicago, reportedly to be digitized by Obama for his library.
Trump lives in Florida, so having these documents in Florida, as long as they were secure, is really no big deal.
Is it really beyond this administration to cook this up and save this as an emergency plan to knock Trump out of the election in 2024 and torpedo Republicans in 2022?
And yes, I know how crazy it sounds, but these are the same people that cooked up the Russian collusion narrative, so…
