Way back in November 2020, Florida was the first state to apply for a new program that the FDA was putting in place to allow the importation of cheaper prescription drugs into the country.
In July 2021, Joe Biden signed an EO ordering the FDA to implement the program immediately.
Well, here we are, September of 2020, only two months shy of two years since DeSantis put in his application, and it is still not approved.
So, he is now suing the administration to get his application processed.
Do Your Job!
DeSantis filed suit earlier this week to get his application processed to get cheaper prescription drugs for Floridians.
He stated, “I’d hate to think that the Biden admin would not approve it just because it’s Florida, because they have issues with Florida politically … because this will benefit people … regardless of political persuasion.”
What other reason could there be, right?
Simone Marstiller, secretary for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, commented, “This has been sitting on someone’s desk for 600 days.
“This is not what government is supposed to do.”
Ron DeSantis added, “After 630 days, you know, we still sit here waiting for an answer.
“And so it’s our view that we’ve waited long enough.
“We have a right to know what the FDA has been doing the last two years.
“Are they putting politics over patients?
“Are they putting the interest of Big Pharma over the interest of average Floridians?”
DeSantis has estimated that this will save Floridians about $150 million annually on prescription drugs.
Maybe that is why Biden is not processing the application… he wants to keep his boot on their throat and continue to bleed everyone financially.
