The woman who played one of the more iconic roles in the 1960s favorite, “The Addams Family,” has passed away.
Former child star Lisa Loring is dead.
She was 64 years old.
Forever Wednesday
Loring had more acting credits on her resume than just “The Addams Family,” with her most recent role being Miss Rhonda in the 2015 movie “Doctor Spine.”
She will, however, always be remembered as the original Wednesday Addams.
Loring was only six years old when she landed the breakthrough role.
This character has been very prominent over the last few years with the Addams Family remakes and the now infamous Wednesday dance video.
Loring recently suffered a massive stroke and was put on life support.
The decision to remove her from the machine was made on Saturday after she had been on the machines for three days.
She passed overnight.
Laurie Jacobson, a friend of Loring’s, posted, “It is with great sadness that I report the death of our friend, Lisa Loring.
“4 Days ago she suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure.
“She had been on life support for 3 days.”
Jacobson added, “She is embedded in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts always as Wednesday Addams.”
