All those Hamas loving protesters outside the Democrat National Convention in Chicago can go home now. They have nothing to protest. Antony Blinken flew to Qatar and convinced the Jews to accept the cease-fire deal. It’s the Palestinians who are dragging their feet, this time. There’s no way they’re going to agree to the terms being forced down the throats of their mediators. It amounts to a total surrender, which is why Israel is happy with it.

Hamas holding out

Hamas is the only thing standing in the way of temporary peace and desperately needed food deliveries. On Monday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted a final, bridging proposal to finalize a cease-fire deal in the Gaza Strip.

That puts the ball in the Palestinians’ court. “In a very constructive meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu today, he confirmed to me that Israel accepts the bridging proposal.

Netanyahu actually “supports it,” Blinky confirmed from our Embassy in Jerusalem. The one which used to be in Tel Aviv until President Donald Trump had it moved to a more appropriate location.

Now that Israel has signed off on the deal, “it’s now incumbent on Hamas to do the same.” The radical Arabs haven’t stopped howling since they read the text.

The goat humpers started this whole mess last October by invading Israel, killing civilians and taking over 200 hostages. Those hostages have been losing bargaining value as time goes by. One group couldn’t be rounded up for their trade.

Today, Israel got the bodies back of six more. Hamas doesn’t have food for their soldiers, they aren’t about to share their crumbs with the prisoners, or any of the medicine in short supply.

It’s the Palestinians who are dragging their feet.

End of the week

Blinky is under the gun to get a deal in hand, fast. Kamala wants to be able to wave a copy from the stage of their big convention in Chicago. Democrats lost the radical left wing of their party because the Biden regime honored our commitments to Israel. They would rather be supporting the terrorists.

The U.S., along with mediators from Egypt and Qatar, is working to reach a cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas by the end of the week.

The terrorists don’t want anything to do with the deal on the table now. “Hamas has generally rejected the statements coming out of the cease-fire talks over the past few weeks.” They officially aren’t even in the talks.

They have a team of mediators assigned to them, who stay in contact with faction leaders on the phone. They’re formally “designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S.” but that doesn’t stop Democrats from favoring their side of the dispute.

Hamas wants a permanent, rather than temporary cease-fire. They also want the Jews out of the Gaza strip. Israel isn’t about to give them their territory back and let them rebuild the underground tunnel complexes. The IDF would prefer to simply vaporize each and every Palestinian in Gaza. They’re bending a little.

The terrorists need to accept that they’re losers. “The critical next step is for Hamas to accept the bridging proposal that Prime Minister Netanyahu has now accepted, and then to engage with everyone else on making sure that we have clear understandings of how each party would actually implement the commitments that it’s undertaken in this agreement.” Resistance is futile.
