Nancy Pelosi was hurt a lot more seriously than the administration’s been letting on. While on a taxpayer funded working vacation in Luxembourg, she fell on a flight of marble stairs. It’s not clear how far down them she fell. The incident happened at The Grand Ducal Palace, which has some really dangerous looking stairs. It could have been worse.
Pelosi rushed to surgery
When Nancy Pelosi first fell down the stairs, everyone was afraid to say how bad she was injured. All they were saying is that she was hurt and in the hospital.
It was hours before the public learned that she fell on stairs. It was another day before we learned she “underwent a ‘successful‘ hip replacement surgery” on Saturday.
The press wasn’t told what really happened until after Pelosi survived the extensive surgery. A spokesperson finally announced on December 14 that the California lawmaker is “well on the mend.”
Democrats are happy to hear that. With Republicans in charge of the House, but just barely, they need all the progressive votes they can get.
In order to get a free trip to Europe on holiday break, Pelosi had to put in an official appearance. She was in Luxembourg, hobnobbing with fellow members of congress and the senate, to recognize the Battle of the Bulge.
She was really there to work out New World Order policy problems with representatives of the European Union. Donald Trump has left-leaning Europeans in a total fit of hysteria.
Receiving excellent care
After grudgingly admitting that Pelosi was “admitted to a hospital in Luxembourg as the result of a fall on the stairs,” her office staff refused to say a word about “how the California congresswoman was injured.”
Some say she was a little tipsy on the stairs after a morning eye-opener or three but that’s totally unconfirmed. Her staff didn’t even want to admit how badly she was injured, knowing it will call her future with the House into question.
Officially, according to spokesunit Ian Krager, 84-year-old Pelosi “is receiving ‘excellent care‘ from doctors and medical professionals.” The Pentagon revealed a few more juicy details. For instance, it was the U.S. Military who “medevaced the former House speaker from Luxembourg to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.”
They moved her out of the country for surgery without telling anyone. The hip replacement, probably a total one, took place at “a major military hospital that for years has treated U.S. troops injured in combat.”
Now that it looks like she’s going to live, the administration notes Congresswoman Pelosi “continues to work and regrets that she is unable to attend the remainder of the CODEL engagements to honor the courage of our servicemembers during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation’s history.”
She didn’t want to actually sit through that ceremony anyway. She was just there for Europe in the fall. Pelosi, now that she’s awake, “looks forward to returning home to the U.S. soon.“
