Joe Biden has done it again.
He is out there apologizing to the world for the sins of the United States and all those bad people that use fossil fuels.
In the process, he is going to cost the American taxpayer billions.
Reparations… for Climate Abuse
I thought I had heard everything until I heard of the idea of climate reparations.
The first time I had heard about it was a few weeks ago when John Kerry shot the idea down.
At the time, he stated, “It’s a well-known fact that the United States and many other countries will not establish … some sort of legal structure that is tied to compensation or liability.”
That narrative has now changed after Joe Biden attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
During the conference, Biden and other “wealthy” nations agreed to create a climate justice fund that would be distributed to developing nations.
Kerry quickly changed his tune to say that he would support the creation of such a fund.
The money will be reparations for the “loss and damage” to these nations from horrible people like ourselves due to fossil fuels.
Now, there is the thing that is going to make you want to toss your cookies.
Technically, China is considered a developing nation, even though they are the one of the two largest polluters in all of the world.
A study conducted by the United Nations in 2021 put a price tag of hundreds of billions for the climate fund, but we still have no idea what every nation would be asked to commit.
It is fairly safe to say, however, that Joe will offer to pay the lion’s share because his ego is enormous when it comes to our tax dollars.
There is one little ray of sunshine in all of this.
That kind of funding has to go through Congress and with Republicans running the House, there is no way that kind of check gets approved.
