When William Barr became Donald Trump’s attorney general, there was considerable concern among MAGA conservatives.
You see, Barr is and always has been establishment.
He was part of the Bush crowd, so it was shocking to see him recruited by Trump.
My guess is that Senator Graham (R-S.C.) recommended him, another politician that I have no idea in how he got so close to Trump considering his past record.
Barr sold Trump down the river during the January 6 hearings, and Steve Bannon is not happy about it.
The Enemy of My Enemy
Maybe calling Trump and Bannon enemies is a bit of a stretch, but they are clearly no longer buddies the way they had been in the past.
That, however, did not stop Bannon from going after Barr with both barrels after his January 6 testimony.
Bannon, on Barr, stated, “We take this very seriously because 13 or 14 generations of this country have sacrificed to hand us the Republic we have, and we’re not going to be blown off by someone like Bill Barr.
“Bill Barr, we’re coming for you, bro.”
The cherry on top of that sundae was Bannon calling Barr an “establishment scumbag.”
Barr did some okay things when he was attorney general, but I never trusted him and I never liked him.
Anyone that snuggles up to the Bush family like that cannot be trusted, period, and now we know why.
