If there is one thing that I have lived by in my life, it is that you do not mess with someone’s food.

Once, in my late teens, I put tobacco sauce into someone’s iced tea when they were not looking, and when they sipped it and felt the head I had a good laugh.

Until that person looked at me and asked if I knew or not whether they were allergic to the stuff in tobacco sauce. When I told them no, they said that’s why nobody should mess with someone’s food.

So it is something I have lived by since then. I’ll play plenty of pranks, but never one that’s food-related.

And like with most things, there are things that if you look at it from one side it can be a prank but from the other be something bordering on assault.

Take the case of a man named Jon Hansen, who had taken his wife and their four children on a trip to the Canadian province of Quebec. They stopped at a McDonald’s and apparently annoyed the staff by not speaking perfect French when they ordered at the drive-thru.

Never mind the fact that it would have been a minor annoyance anyway, what they did then did was nothing short of evil.

Jon grabs the order at the window, and his son takes a sip of his milkshake and notices something is definitely not right with the drink.

Wanting to test if it was safe for his boy to continue drinking, Jon took a sip and immediately his tongue began to burn.

When they went inside to confront the store manager they noticed that there was an open container of blue cleaning solution next to the milkshake machine.

Now, having worked at a fast food place in my youth I have cleared many a milkshake machine. There is no way that the cleaning solution would have affected anyone unless it was directly poured into one of the milkshakes.

One might think that this was just a horrible coincidence that the employees were acting like jerks and then this happened.

Then again, how many times have you heard stories of fast food employees doing horrible things to people’s food because they can.
