You never know how you will react during a time of crisis.
You can be the toughest, bravest person around until the moment of truth arrives and you face a shot fired in anger.
Thirteen Ukraine soldiers just faced that moment, and they literally stared death in the face and told it to go “F” itself.
Defiant to the End
Snake Island is an outpost for Ukraine in the Black Sea.
It was also one of the starting points for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
A total of 13 soldiers were tasked with protecting the island.
Today, all of them are dead, but not before they got the last word in against the Russian warship about to end their lives.

One soldier also live-streamed the attack just as the ship had started to fire its massive guns at the island…
