The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has released a dramatic video.

A police officer took out a man holding a hostage with one shot.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deadly Accuracy

The suspect, Deven Karl Moore, 25, can be seen running into a small shed that looked like it was being used as an office of some sort.

He is seen holding a knife to a man’s throat as officers are approaching.

Moore tells the officers, “Back away! Back away! Back off of me now!

“Put your weapon away! You’re f–king with me!”

The officers clearly gave Moore several warnings, then a shot was heard…

It was an amazing shot by the officer, especially considering those circumstances and the threat to the hostage.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has stated that deadly force used in this instance met their guidelines.

All footage has been turned over to prosecutors for review of possible criminal charges being filed against the officer.

If this officer faces charges, you better believe there will be uproar around the nation.

The man is hero who took an amazing shot with an innocent bystander at risk.

Police had been responding to a call of Moore having allegedly going through a local neighborhood smashing windows with a sledgehammer.
