News broke last night of a military crash.
Today, it has been confirmed.
Five U.S. Marines were killed during a training exercise in California.
Tragedy Strikes Again
Maj. Gen. Bradford J. Gering, commanding general of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, broke the news.
He stated, “We mourn the loss of our Marines in this tragic mishap. Our hearts go out to their families and friends as they cope with this tragedy.”
The identities of the Marines have not yet been made public (this will not happen until next of kin are informed).
This is now the second training accident in less than a week that has taken the life of one of our military members.
Friday, a pilot was killed near Death Valley when a Super Hornet crashed.
It is horrible enough when we lose troops in battle, but we seem to be losing far too many as of late during training exercises.
Rest in peace, Marines… and we thank you for your service.
