Under Mayor Jim Kenney, Philadelphia has become a cesspool and warzone.

This used to be one of the best big cities in the country.

It has always been a Democrat city, but it was a different type of Democrat back in the day.

These were hard-working Americans that were extremely moderate, kept the city clean, and worked hard to keep it safe.

Today, neighborhoods are littered with trash, abandoned homes, and rat-infested.

The downtown area, which used to be the jewel of the city, is now a pigsty and a haven for the homeless.

It has also become a warzone, with Saturday night being proof of that.

The Philly Warzone

Over the last two years, Philadelphia has given Chicago a run for its money in terms of violent crime.

Saturday night, one of the more popular areas of the city for both locals and tourists, South Street, was lit up with gunfire.

When the smoke cleared, 14 people had been shot, three of them fatally.

Mayor Kenney did not cite the liberal policies that have allowed crime to run rampant but instead chose to blame gun laws.

He stated, “Until we address the availability and ease of access to firearms, we will always be fighting an uphill battle.

“As Mayor, I will continue to fight to protect our communities and urge others to advocate for stronger laws that keep guns out of the hands of violent individuals.”

That was far from the only violence in the city Saturday night, as there was another horrible shooting in the Port Richmond section.

A pregnant woman was shot and killed, but doctors were able to save the child…

I would be willing to wager that the guns used in these shootings were illegally obtained, so the idea that gun laws taking guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens is going to fix this problem is ludicrous.
