It was only a matter of time, right?
With Governor Abbott sending migrants to numerous Democrat cities, we knew they would make allegations against him sooner or later.
That time has come.
And So It Begins…
The sending of migrants to Democrat sanctuary cities has nothing to do with race.
Abbott started to send these illegals to high-profile Democrat cities to draw attention to the crisis that border states are dealing with every day.
Now, however, it has become a racial issue courtesy of New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
Adams was being interviewed by Errol Louis when he was asked, “I guess it’s interesting because ultimately, while it is, it’s certainly a crisis and definitely a problem.
“If they’re going to keep sending people here from the Texas border by the thousands week after week, at some point, it becomes the norm, right?”
Adams responded, “Yes. So true.
“And that was the fear that we had in the beginning when it first started with Governor Abbott that we knew that, unfortunately, that some people were going to use it as a playbook to send buses to both New York, Washington and to Chicago.
“Keep in mind, these are three cities where we have Black mayors.
“This is undermining our economy and is undermining our attempt to recover in our cities — that we’re already dealing with crises from COVID to monkeypox to crime to housing.
“And I think it’s something that we need to be very clear on.
“These three cities were targeted, and I have a conversation this afternoon with the mayors of the other two cities.”
The cities were targeted because they are sanctuary cities, which are supposed to welcome illegal immigrants with open arms.
They are also high-profile cities, so they will generate the most media attention.
The fact that Adams insinuates that either Abbott is a racist or that he had racist motives here is just flat-out disgusting.
That is the Democrat playbook, however.
If you do something they do not like or that exposes their hypocrisy, you are one of three things: racist, xenophobic, or sexist.
