The liberal world has just been turned on its ear.
The Supreme Court has finally issued the opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson case, which was centered around the Roe v. Wade precedent.
Justice Samuel Alito authored the opinion, which officially overturned Roe v. Wade.
Flawed Precedent
In reality, and this comes from the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Roe v. Wade was flawed.
That case was about a doctor’s right to perform abortions, not women’s rights and privacy rights.
She even predicted that, eventually, the precedent would be overturned.
In the final opinion, Alito stated, “We end this opinion where we began.
“Abortion presents a profound moral question.
“The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion.
“Roe and Casey arrogated that authority.
“We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives.”
As he notes in his opinion, abortion is not illegal in terms of federal law, as it will now be up to each state to decide on abortion restrictions.
Regardless, this will be touted as making abortion illegal federally by liberals, Democrats, and the media.
This, of course, will cause mass rioting as we saw with George Floyd’s death.
Dig in, folks, because things are about to get very ugly.
