Donald Trump’s meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago went a whole lot better than the ordeal he was forced to endure in Washington. On Friday, the two conservatives put their heads together focused on “Total Victory.” For Israel, that means over Hamas. For Trump, that means over evil corruption in the Washington swamp. Bibi can’t wait to get home for a long hot shower after what he was subjected to at the Watergate Hotel. The experience gives new meaning to the phrase “bugging” scandal.
Still friends with Netanyahu
Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu have had a difference of opinion or two but they’re still friends. More importantly, they both have the same goals and interests in mind. There’s a stark difference between the reception he got in Florida and the one he got in the District of Columbia.
Kamala Harris went out of her way to annoy him in their first face-to-face encounter since she got her “promotion.” Everyone knows she’s acting president until Joe gets convinced to step down.
Decisively winning the war against Hamas in Gaza would make things real simple for all the sane and reasonable parties affected by the current conflict. “It’s all going to work out and very quickly,” Trump began. If the allies don’t win against Iranian backed Hamas, “you’re going to end up with major wars in the Middle East and maybe a third world war.”

In fact, Trump warns, “you are closer to a third world war right now than at any time since the second world war. You’ve never been so close.” The reason why is also simple. Because “we have incompetent people running our country.” Netanyahu agrees.
Kamala Harris managed to ditch Joe long enough for a separate meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister. What she said directly to the prime minister and what she told reporters she said were two different things. Both of them were annoying, though. While Israel has a right to defend itself, she acknowledged to the press, she has “serious concern” about the suffering of Palestinians. Meaning Hamas terrorists.
“Harris’ statement after the meeting was much more critical than what she told Netanyahu in the meeting,” one Israeli official rebuts. Bibi hit the roof. Talk like that “will harm the negotiations.” It shows “daylight” between Isreal and the U.S. which will be exploited by Hamas.
Trump supports Israel
Donald Trump has a strong history of support for Israel. Under his administration, they moved the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Then, there’s the big peace deal he brokered. Not to mention his decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear appeasement deal and replace it with tough sanctions.
“We’ve had a good relationship. I was very good to Israel, better than any president’s ever been,” Trump reminds. He may have been a little irked when Netanyahu congratulated Joe Biden in 2020 but that’s no big deal and water under the bridge. Trump simply happens to value loyalty.
Joe and Kamala were all over Bibi to declare a cease fire and get the darn hostages back. Trump agrees that is “not an acceptable situation.” He went further to note that things are looking pretty grim for any hostages left alive.

“They have to be given back immediately because there can be no way they’re in good shape.” As far as a ceasefire, Netanyahu came here to make it clear it’s only temporary. Nobody in Washington heard the message. Trump understands completely.
Bibi was the one who made the appointment to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Everyone knows that’s Trump’s seat of government as “President-in-Exile.” The once and future president told the press, Harris was “disrespectful to Israel” in her remarks.
Netanyahu doesn’t forget the way Trump recognized “Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights and backing multiple countries in Middle East and North Africa to normalize relations with Israel as part of the Abraham Accords.” Bibi went as far as to call “Trump the greatest friend Israel has ever had.” His support for Israel was “unequivocal.” You can bet Trump will be sporting his new Total Victory cap around the golf course.
