The FBI teamed up with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to give Christopher Wray something to smirk about. They arrested an ISIS terrorist living in Toronto. One with plans to celebrate last year’s October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, by killing enough Jews in New York City to make 9/11 pale in comparison. Muhammad Shahzeb Khan didn’t know the two guys he recruited to help him out were undercover feds.

FBI joins the Mounties

The FBI doesn’t have any authority north of our border in Canada, so they teamed up with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to “get their man.” American investigators were on hand when their Canadian counterparts “arrested a man who they accuse of attempting to illegally enter the U.S. to commit a terrorist attack.

20-year-old Muhammad Shahzeb Khan had a specific target in mind. “Jewish communities in New York City.” He was working “on behalf of the Islamic State group.

We used to call them “ISIS” until Barack Obama took offense and made everyone change it to “ISIL.” That confused the media so they decided to stick with the “Islamic State” part everyone can agree on. Khan was hiding under the alias Shahzeb Jadoon when the Mounties caught up with him on Wednesday, September 4, in Ormstown, Quebec.

Right where the FBI said he would be. That’s only 12 miles from the U.S. border. It’s interesting to note that the southern border’s suddenly become too dicey for terrorists to cross. Several have been snagged there in recent weeks.

According to the FBI, their suspect is a Pakistani national. He’s been planning “a rifle assault timed for the anniversary of the 7 October Hamas attack against Israel.” He had a backup date “during the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur on 11 October.

The Federal Bureau of Instigation took the lead on the investigation but had to keep the RCMP in the loop. The Mounties were the ones who had to actually make the arrest on Canadian soil.

In Canadian custody

The RCMP issued a statement declaring “we can reassure the public that as his actions escalated, at no point in time was Khan an immediate threat prior to his arrest.” He was laying low and keeping his nose clean so as not to jeopardize his big day.

He’s still in Canadian custody and will appear “in court in Montreal on 13 September.” The statement put out by the FBI adds that “he planned the attack with two people who he did not realize were undercover agents.

Kahn instructed the undercover feds on his payroll “to acquire AR-style rifles, ammunition and hunting knifes for an attack.” He had his travel arrangements all set. “The suspect also paid a human trafficker to smuggle him to the U.S. border.

The FBI teamed up with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to give Christopher Wray something to smirk about.

That makes it sound like he planned to walk across on his own. Usually people pay to be smuggled “across” the border. The FBI has messages in their file he sent to the undercover agents. “New [Y]ork is perfect to target [J]ews” because of its relatively large Jewish population.

He also assured the FBI “if we succeed with our plan this would be the largest Attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.” He wanted to beat al-Qaeda’s record. Director Christopher Wray personally observed, “the defendant was allegedly determined to kill Jewish people here in the United States, nearly one year after Hamas’ horrific attack on Israel.

The Mounties were happy they got him. “This planned antisemitic attack against Jewish people in the U.S. is deplorable and there is no place for such ideological and hate-motivated crime in Canada.
