A report broke this week on Bloomberg News that I am trying to figure out regarding Trump in terms of how it will impact the election.
According to the report, if the DOJ decides to indict Trump, the charges will not come down until after the 2022 election.
The way I am seeing this right now, it is a crippling move by the DOJ to more or less freeze the GOP.
Sooner the Better
Realistically, if the DOJ is going to indict Trump, we want that to happen as soon as possible.
I say this because everyone of significance is waiting to see what Trump will do in terms of announcing.
With this legal issue looming, I would not expect Trump to run.
If he does, it may not stop others from running for fear the DOJ indicts Trump in the future to hurt him in the election.
Make no mistake about it… delaying the indictment, and I do believe one is coming, is a politically calculated move to benefit Democrats.
The worst case scenario is that the DOJ puts all this on the back burner, then drops the indictment at some point in early 2024, which would just upend the election if Trump is running for office.
Garland addressed this issue, stating, “Simply put, partisan politics must play no role in the decisions of federal investigators or prosecutors regarding any investigations or criminal charges.”
I think we can all agree that the man is a liar and cannot be trusted, so I take that statement about as seriously as I do the fortune inside of a cookie.
