House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) made a very interesting statement this week that really needs to be looked at a bit deeper.
Hoyer was doing an interview and was asked if Democrats should be running as Biden Democrats in the 2022 midterms.
He sidestepped the question is a manner that is already drawing a lot of attention, seemingly showing a lack of support for Biden.
Not Committing
The question that was asked of Hoyer should have been a simple yes or no question.
Should Democrats identify as Biden Democrats?
Hoyer responded, “I want every Democrat to run as ‘Democrats who deliver.’
“Point to the record. Point to what was done.”

I am just curious what Hoyer actually believes that Democrats have accomplished.
The two things that Biden keeps bragging about had nothing to do with him.
Unemployment is down because people are going back to work from the pandemic and the economy is up because the country came out of a massive shutdown.
Record inflation, border crisis, leaving Americans behind in Afghanistan, numerous foreign policy failures… this is what Joe Biden has accomplished.
No wonder Hoyer would not commit to tagging candidates as “Biden Democrats.”
