Sally Kellerman, who brought the character to life in the 1970 hit “MASH,” has passed away.
Kellerman was 84 years old.
60-year Career
Kellerman launched her career in 1957, but she did not really gain steam until the mid-1960s.
By 1965, her docket was stacked with offers, ultimately leading to playing Hot Lips in the original “MASH.”

You may also remember her from the 1986 “Back to School” with Rodney Dangerfield.
Kellerman played Dr. Diane Turner, Dangerfield’s love interest in the comedy.
The majority of her career was spent on the big screen, although, over the last two decades, she did get some TV time on “The Young and the Restless,” “Maron,” and “Decker.”
In all, Kellerman has 158 movie and TV credits to her name.
Kellerman currently has two movies in post-production that will be released posthumously.
