For many of us, Raquel Welch was THAT woman.
She rates among the beautiful women to grace the big and little screen.
Sadly, she has passed away.
Welch was 82 years old.
Just a Sad Day
Welch passed Wednesday after fighting off a brief illness, according to her representatives.
She first hit the screen in 1964 playing some small roles in both TV and movies.
Her big break came when she landed the role of Cora in “Fantastic Voyage” in 1966.
Over the next decade or so, it was hard to find a film that did not include her name in the credits.
In the late 1970s, her career slowed, but she was given another life in “Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult,” which just reminded everyone of how amazing she was.
She took full advantage of it and racked up the credits over the next decade, just as she had done after “Fantastic Voyage.”
Her final credited role was in 2017’s “Date My Date,” where she played Rosa.
She was easily one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood in her day, and I can tell for sure that nobody ever looked so good in tattered caveman clothes as she did playing Loana in “One Million Years B.C.”
Rest in peace, Raquel.
